AMAZING! Seriously, 10 stars. We just purchased a house that has been pretty neglected and the ceilings were thick popcorn and so gross (first picture). I wanted to keep some texture and Ian Decorations did exactly what i hoped for! They sanded down the ceilings and painted them. The rooms look SO much better, brighter and cleaner(after picture, second). While he was here, he noticed the bathroom fan was disgusting and offered to replace that as well! They go above and beyond to keep everything clean and are so polite and kind! I plan to hire them in the future for any other small projects the house needs!

David was fantastic! Being from out of the area, I was skeptical in hiring a contractor to fix a ceiling leak, furthered with drywall repair. I called David for an in home estimate and he was over as soon as I asked him to be there! He was very honest, and gave a modest quote. He was incredibly professional! He sealed off the entire work area with sheets and covered all inches of the floor as not to get dust/debris all over the house. He was able to quickly identify the issue, and fix the problem as well as rework/repaint the ceiling… all in 4 hours! He matched the paint perfectly and the ceiling looks like it had never been touched! At the end, David even showed me the costs to all parts from actual receipts so that I could see that he was not misdirecting me on costs. He was incredibly punctual on all times! I will always use David from now on in all my rental properties in the northern Virginia area! Thank you so much David for being a great contractor and upstanding businessman!

David did an amazing job removing our old popcorn ceiling and the results look incredible. He went above and beyond for us and did a number of drywall repairs to help us prep for painting, painted our staircase and halls, and cut most of the rooms in our house to save us time with rolling. We had David from Ian Decorations remove our textured ceiling and fix holes in it. He also repaired holes in another room's ceiling for us. We are absolutely blown away by the completed work and will be recommending him and Ian Decorations to everyone we know. I've attached 3 photos from before and 3 from after. Quality: David really knows what he's doing, the ceiling looks impeccable and is a vast improvement over previously. It's smooth with no visible imperfections and the paint job is very consistent. They did not cut corners or take shortcuts in the process, sanding it down well each time! Price: Reasonable for the amount of work. Came in slightly cheaper among 3 quotes we had, which is good. They know their worth. Speed: For a 800+ sqft basement, it took them 4 1/2 days to fix holes, remove texture, skim coat, prime, and paint the whole thing. Communication and work ethic: David's been a joy to chat with, always open to sharing his progress, giving us options and keeping us appraised on things he notices. He's a really good guy all around. THEY EVEN TOOK THE TIME TO CLEAN UP THE PLACE! This is just above and beyond and will leave a lasting impression on us.
